Position Summary

Blue Mountain is seeking a high-potential individual to join the Operations organization located in Tuttle, Oklahoma. This ideal candidate will support its fast-growing Midstream Oil & Gas business, report to the Manager of Pipeline Operations, and will interact daily with personnel of Blue Mountain and affiliates. The candidate of choice must possess the ability to communicate with field employees and managers across the organization. Pipeline Operator is primarily responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the pipeline compressor facilities, dehydrators and gas / liquid separation equipment. Completes maintenance and including pigging operations of the gathering system.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and construction of the pipeline, the right-of-way and grounds around pipeline or other facilities.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pipeline.
  • Operate and Monitor compressor station and equipment associated to the facility.
  • Work safely using processing and procedures established for maintaining equipment and compressor stations.  
  • Conducts cathodic protection surveys: identifies, and reports anomalies
  • Performs valve inspections, as well as greases and operates valves.
  • Ensures that detailed records of corrosion reading, rectifier readings, pipe/ soil potentials, results of internal corrosion, and atmospheric corrosion testing and sampling are kept up to date.
  • Performs annuals surveys and maintain records as required by DOT for corrosion control.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s License

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in oil and gas industry -required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, SCADA and industry applications.
  • Good knowledge of standard pipeline operator techniques and the ability to problem solving skills
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to self-manage projects and teams under tight deadlines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Math, technical, and mechanical skills are highly desired
  • Ability to prioritize daily work schedules depending on operational requirements
  • Ability to travel occasionally throughout marketplaces

Work Environment

  • This role works primarily in a field environment. In this capacity, incumbents are regularly:
  • Exposed to outdoor elements such as extreme heat or cold, heavy wind, rain or snow
  • Required to drive to and access job sites, considering day as well as in darkness, to perform work assignments. Some job site locations may be remote from the office requiring overnight stays.
  • Required to balance, bend, squat, crouch, climb, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, push / pull and lift objects and use apparatus to push / pull and lift heavy objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
  • Subject to exposure to hazards such as but not limited to slippery or uneven surfaces; environmental / industry hazards such as chemicals, high – decibel noise from production equipment, fumes or poor ventilation; proximity to moving objects and vehicles and potentially combustible components.
  • Communicate and deal with external client and subcontractor contacts.
  • Follow all company safety policies and protocols
  • Required to perform active, physical tasks including but not limited to operating equipment and / or machinery and adjustments and repairs.
  • Required to have visual acuity to work with parts, equipment, apparatus, etc.
  • Required to possess audible acuity to hear alarms in the event of emergency
