Position Summary

Blue Mountain is seeking a high-potential individual to join the Operations organization located in Tuttle, Oklahoma. This ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring computer-based measurement systems throughout the Company. This position will report to the Measurement Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify problems and discrepancies in receipt and evaluation of EFM and other measurement data.
  • Perform scheduled calibrations, gas sampling, troubleshooting, repair and installation of Electronic Flow Measurement equipment, specifically Totalflow.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and maintenance of field equipment associated with existing radio and SCADA equipment.
  • Resolve audit exception reports, analyze, evaluate and identify volume discrepancies at the major delivery.
  • Obtain gas and liquid samples and maintains any sampling or analysis equipment.
  • Works closely with Producer Department to ensure equipment accuracy needs.
  • Responsible for establishing professional relationships with gas, water and oil purchaser and maintaining positive relationship with landowners, producers and customers.
  • Assist in the operation, calibration and troubleshooting of H2S monitors. Assist in locating and tracking H2S within the pipeline system.
  • Stay current with industry measurement standards and practices by attending API, ASTM, GPA and industry sponsored workshops and conferences.
  • Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Learn to fill out applicable work/hot work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

  • High School diploma or GED

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in Oil & Gas industry
    • Measurement and / or Automation preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate advanced measurement and control systems, SCADA interface and quality equipment.
  • Must display a comprehensive understanding of API and / or GPA measurement and Company policies and be familiar with the best industry measurement.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication: written & oral and planning skills.
  • Travel occasionally throughout marketplaces.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to hazardous outdoor elements such as extreme heat or cold, heavy winds, rain, or snow which may create off-road conditions
  • Required to drive to and access job sites, considering day as well as in darkness, to perform work assignments. Some job site locations may be remote from the office requiring overnight stays and / or isolated from interaction with other and towns.
  • Required to balance, bend, squat, crouch, climb, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, push/pull and lift objects, and use apparatus to push/ pull and lift heavy objects weighing at least 50 lbs. or more.
  • Subject to exposure to hazards such as but not limited to slippery or uneven surfaces; environmental/ industry hazards such as chemicals, high-decibel noise from production equipment, components; hazardous off-road conditions such as dust, ice and snow.
  • May be requested to work long hours to complete job assignment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and protocols.
  • Required to perform active, physical tasks including but not limited to operating equipment and / or machinery and adjusting and repairs.
  • Required to have visual acuity to work with parts, equipment, apparatus, etc.
  • Required to possess audible acuity to hear alarms in the event of emergency.
