Position Summary

Blue Mountain is seeking a high-potential individual to join its Operations organization located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This ideal candidate will support its fast-growing Midstream Oil & Gas business, report to the Manager of Pipeline Operations, and will interact daily with users at Blue Mountain. The candidate of choice must possess the ability to interface with all levels of the organization both local and corporate. The Field Logistics Supervisor is primarily responsible for the management of the Company’s third-party trucking partners, coordinating all water hauling activity and ensuring all water movement needs are met in a 24 / 7 operation across the Merge / SCOOP plays in Central Oklahoma.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the Company dispatchers to ensure SCADA systems are being monitored and tank levels are being maintained.
  • Act as the liaison between the Company, customers, third-party trucking companies and other stakeholders, to ensure the transporting and delivery of water; by both truck and pipeline, while verifying inbound and outbound deliveries during flowback.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of third-party trucking partners which will include, but not limited to; guiding trucks in and out of location at various work sites during flowback.
  • Mitigate risks in incidents or events that may occur on site, and utilize proper safety and procedural protocol.
  • Responsible for certifying hauling tickets and verifying estimates.
  • Work with oil companies on volume verification and verifying required documentation for each load. Assuring the safety standards are followed while drivers are on location.
  • Manage multiple third-party trucking firms to coordinate water hauling from well sites and facilities within the assigned area.
  • Monitor drivers to ensure customer goals are met while maintaining open forum with other operation management to ensure prompt, efficient assignment of loads and keep them informed of any changes in orders already established.
  • Work with Company EHS Manager to ensure all company policies are adhered to including OSHA, DOT, Customer Requirements, and other industry standards.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding driver performance, driver evaluations and driver disciplinary action and / or terminations.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree (highly preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive history in water hauling management (required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have knowledge in transportation / logistics field or related field
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail, analytical, forward-thinking with strong planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage projects and team under tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Must be able to work efficiently / effectively with a sense of urgency in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Ability to organize and track complex information using physical and electronic record keeping systems; basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Ability to support third party contractors, as needed
  • High energy with a positive attitude

Work Environment

  • Travel to work field sites and for extended periods of time
  • May be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures due to weather conditions and operating conditions
  • May have occasional requirements to work late or on weekends in times of tight internal or external deadlines
  • Must be available to respond accordingly to emergency situations after traditional work hours & during holidays as describe in the notification
  • Must follow all company safety policies, including while visiting field locations
