Position Summary

Key Accountabilities

  • Regularly applies a variety of engineering principles in supporting activities associated with managing and executing the construction for well connects, expansion pipeline, compressor station projects and large processing cryogenic gas plants including design, model reviews, AFE preparation for plant equipment and materials, safety / HAZOP and emergency evaluations.
  • Continually grows skill set through application of established processes.
  • Independently performs key operations and functions leading projects within critical time-lines and budget and maximizing economics and value added components of construction/plant processes.
  • Enforces company safety / environmental policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Develops engineering standards and specifications.
  • Solicits and evaluates construction bids and contracts: estimates cost and generates AFEs; manages project with a focus on scope, execution, budget, and cost control.
  • Recommends changes to processes based on previous observations.
  • Occasionally mentors, guides, or directs less experienced engineers.
  • Performs all conventional aspects of engineering work
  • Exercises independence in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard or well- defined engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Uses independent judgment in making and prioritizing limited adaptations and modifications.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred


  • Complexity and scope generally involves knowledge and skills acquired through up to ten years of progressive work experience in the midstream industry.
  • Plant start-up project experience preferred.
  • Experience with installation and operations of large horsepower compression, pipelines, dehydration, amine treating, and gas processing.
  • Experience with stimulation software (Synergi, Promax, HYSYS, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Work Environment

  • Primarily office work environment.
  • Routine work involves typical office activities such as standing, sitting, walking, typing, and twisting asnecessary.
  • May be required to occasionally lift approximately 10 to 50 pounds.
  • Must follow all company safety policies that may require additional considerations when visiting field andplant locations.
