About LINN

Position Summary

Works independently to conduct and document highly complex financial, economic, and statistical analysis. Acts as a mentor to other members of the team, as well as an internal resource to other departments.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs various complex financial analyses independently.
  • Oversees the preparation and completion of presentations for management, Board, bank, and other meetings.
  • Prepares and reviews materials related to M&A and financing activities.
  • Maintains hedging covenant calculations and related materials.
  • Maintains debt covenant calculations and related materials.
  • Maintains databases related to carbon allowance purchase inventory.
  • Partners with accounting department to maintain hedge portfolio documentation and statistics and other compliance materials as needed.
  • Attends meetings with bankers, commodity traders, and related individuals when appropriate.
  • Partners with IR and other departments to assist with presentation and earnings materials as needed.
  • Builds and maintains high-quality, value-added internal and external relationships based on trust, competence, and timely follow-through.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced members of the team as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline.
  • CPA or other professional certification preferred.


  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
  • Bloomberg experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of financial statements.
  • Working knowledge about financial markets and investments.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Office environment primarily. Routine work is performed at a workstation on a networked computer.
  • Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, and twisting as necessary.
  • May be required to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, respirators, appropriate footwear, etc.) when visiting field sites.
  • May require local and national travel.
  • Ability to maintain the safety of our employees, our customers, and the public to protect the environment.
